Full Job Description

Acorn Education & Care are currently hiring Care Workers on a ‘+7 days on, 7 days off’ shift pattern!

Stay at the site for 7 days then have a full 7 days off!

Travel to and from the site just twice a week – expand the distance you would be willing to drive!

Role: Residential Childcare Worker

Location: Denmead, Hampshire

Salary: Up to £27,295.68 per annum (inclusive of 8 sleep ins payments per month)

Hours: Full-time, Permanent (42 hours per week, varied shift patterns)

The Location

Denmead consists of 2 sites – Lavender House and Lily Cottage – and is set in rural Hampshire. These sites, two of our registered independent homes, offer residential care for vulnerable children and young people with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and Complex Needs.

Our residential homes are friendly and fun, and though there are challenges too, everything we do is dedicated to creating rewarding experiences – for those we look after and for everyone in our team!

How we reward you

  • Basic salary: £22,975.68 per annum
  • Sleep ins paid at £45.00 per night
  • Funded qualifications: starting with working towards a funded Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare qualification. (if you do not currently hold this or equivalent)

  • Supporting the children to appointments and activities such as shopping or trips out
  • Completing relevant paperwork
  • Undertaking household tasks
  • Engage our children and young people in tasks and activities
