Housekeeper - Abingdon Hospital

Working alongside a team of housekeepers - providing cleaning and catering services to the patients at Abingdon Community Hospital.

An opportunity for a full time post to join a highly motivated, dedicated team of Housekeepers based Abingdon Community Hospital

We are looking for a friendly organized hard-working candidate who will be reliable, flexible, and good team player who has good interpersonal and communication skills.

The successful candidate will be providing high quality housekeeping and catering service, with the aim of this post is to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

General cleaning on the outpatients and ward areas - including mopping the floors, cleaning toilets and around the patient bays, also serving food to patients for breakfast, lunch and dinner times.

This working shift pattern is 5 days per week over a 2 week rolling rota whereby you would be expected to work a week of 7am-3pm shifts and then a week of 11am-7pm shifts.

• New starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale.
• Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
• Appointment to this post is subject to the trust receiving satisfactory references covering 3 years of employment or study. Please ask your referees to respond promptly to reference requests.
• Employees are expected to undertake mandatory and statutory training related to their role.
