Pharmacy Digital Projects Lead

Do you enjoy solving puzzles and finding ways to make things work? Do you want to help others unlock their inner puzzle-master? This might be the role for you!

We’re looking for a pharmacist or technician to head up the projects branch of our pharmacy informatics team. We’re a well-established team within the department, the Digital Division, and the Trust as a whole, so you’d have all the right support to hand. We’re also focused on development, and welcome new ideas – could you help us shape the future of the team?

If successful, you would provide leadership in the design and implementation of our overarching pharmacy systems optimisation project, and to provide management and leadership to other members of the team working on the various projects on the go at any one time. Once each project is implemented, you would be responsible for ensuring there is a comprehensive handover to live service, including addressing the reporting needs of the department, and the Trust as a whole.

There are a couple of high priority projects already in motion so the learning curve will be steep, but that comes with some pretty rapid delivery boosts. We’ve also got some exciting projects in the pipeline that will revolutionise the way we provide pharmaceutical care to our patients.

This is an exciting time to become part of the Pharmacy Informatics Team at OUH – we are in the process of replacing our Pharmacy Stock Control (PSC) System, and we’re just about to deploy a new dispensing robot in one of our dispensaries. As Digital Project Lead, your first task will be to take the PSC project over the line (with support, of course!).
