Recreation Assistant

The Role:

Being a recreation assistant is an essential part of the operation of our Centre. This is a responsible role which is key to the safety and well-being of our customers; it requires excellent attention to detail and exceptional people skills. Candidates must hold their National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

To succeed as a Recreation Assistant:

• You are confident in your ability to keep our swimmers safe and happy at all times, and can quickly snap into action when required
• You have excellent attention to detail – you don’t accept anything but the best!
• You are confident in your abilities whilst being friendly, calm and approachable.
• You are assertive and self-assured with your ability to keep our swimmers safe and happy at all times, and can quickly snap into action when required.
• You are a team player and happy to support other departments when necessary.
• You act safely, knowing the importance of following Health and Safety and conducting a recording checks accurately.
• You will act as a member of one team with one goal. You will live by our mission statement whilst always doing the right thing and having fun!

The job will have guaranteed hours (roughly 30 hrs p/w) for the first few months to cover long term sickness with opportunity to do cover as well.

Job Types: Temporary contract, Zero hours contract

Salary: £9.75-£10.42 per hour
