Position Overview & Specifications

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Oyster Travel!

Oyster Travel have been nominated three years in a row as the Top Travel Agency in the East Anglia by TTG and we are looking for a fun, knowledgeable and well-travelled person to join our Oyster family.

Key responsibilities:

  • To sell and book holidays by establishing the customers travel needs to provide the right product and destination.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through genuine relationship management and a desire to exceed customer needs.
  • Capture and record required client information.
  • Provide expert travel advice on products and destinations.
  • Build rapport with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Extend product and destination knowledge through supplier training and own research.
  • Proactively identify, take ownership, and resolve customer queries.
  • To ensure an excellent standard of customer service is always provided.
  • Collecting and processing payments.
  • Achieve monthly / annual goals.
  • Advising clients on travel arrangements, e.g. visas and passports.
  • To ensure the company’s values are always demonstrated.

Skills and Experience:

  • 2 years minimum experience of working within a travel agency.
  • A genuine desire to achieve results, both personally and as part of a successful team.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and be comfortable with multi-tasking.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Resilience to deal with complex queries in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving / exceeding targets.
  • Have a passion for travel!
