Job Title: Production Operatives
Hours of work: Mon-Thu 07:50-16.45 and Fri 7:50-12:00 but all candidates will have to be able to work shifts in the future, shift premiums applicable
Hourly rate: £10.45p/h + OT rates applicable
Start: ASAP
Contract: Temporary On-going
Location: Skelmersdale, WN8 9PT

We are currently recruiting for a number of Production Operatives for our well-established Manufacturing client based in the Skelmersdale area.

Production Operatives will assist the production departments in maximising machine running time, by carrying out general tasks and observing the machines when running. The role will also include assembly of various PPE units and customer designed equipment, in accordance with production documentation.

Other duties will include:

Loading & Unloading Machines and making minor adjustments to the controls.
Inspecting the product from start to finish.
Assembling finished goods to relevant production and quality standard.
Assembling components using nuts, bolts or glue, with the use of light-duty hand tools.
Transporting materials using hand trucks or dollies, packing materials or products in shipping containers.
Changing & cleaning equipment as required.
Complying with all company Health & Safety procedures.
General housekeeping duties.

Applicants must ideally have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment and have excellent abilities to follow plans with manual dexterity.
