You will have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification and demonstrate continued professional development.

You must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council.

You will be required to demonstrate experience and knowledge of working with current social work legislation, regulations and standards.

You will be able to demonstrate experience of multi-disciplinary working and be committed to working closely with colleagues from other disciplines. You will also be able to evidence sound/robust assessment, preferably having experience of undertaking comprehensive assessments or have transferable skills.

You must be able to work effectively within a team and demonstrate a commitment to improve current service provision.

You will be a confident communicator, both written and verbally and have good IT skills and be flexible to meet the demands of this post.

This post may be suitable for candidates who have recently completed their Social Work Degree but have not yet graduated. In this circumstance, a Social Work Assistant contract will be offered until you receive your qualifying certificate and are eligible to register with the SSSC as a Social Worker.
