About The Role

Our Health and Safety team, live and breathe all things health and safety. If you share this passion and are experienced in delivering engaging H&S courses, we want to hear from you.

Health & Safety is our fastest growing business division. With this in mind, we are now looking to recruit a new Trainer to support our forecasted growth.

This role will primarily be based at our prestigious training facility in Cosham, however, there will be the requirement for travel to client sites and the opportunity for remote working on occasion.

This role could be offered on a full time (Monday to Friday) or part time (3 days per week) contract.

Our Health & Safety Team

By delivering first class training and advisory services to our corporate clients, our Trainer’s work prevents workplace accidents and ensures that everyone returns home safely from work. It is their passion that makes joining the PETA training team such a unique opportunity.

As our newest Health & Safety Trainer, you will report into our experienced H&S Manager and be supported by our team of highly experienced and skilled Trainers and administration staff.

What will I be responsible for?

As our ideal Health & Safety Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering engaging training courses covering First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Manual Handling and Fire Warden training. Your role will also include:

  • Designing / delivering a range of health, safety and environmental related courses, seminars, and briefings
  • Conducting the assessment and marking of delegate course work for programmes related to regulated outcomes (i.e. IOSH/NEBOSH, Qualsafe).
  • Attending client meetings, to scope their specific training requirements, producing written proposals that offer tailored solutions appropriate to their business needs.
  • Conducting a range of Advisory and Consultancy projects

What will I need to succeed?

To be successful as our newest Health & Safety Trainer, passion, attitude, and enthusiasm will be key. Experience of delivering classroom based and virtual training will also be crucial to your success.

You will need to be able to engage effectively with customers from a broad range of industries and deliver training sessions in a way that positively influences the development of a safety culture. Alongside your proven experience as a Trainer, you will also have the following qualifications / accreditations:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Practical experience in the design and delivery of training, a teaching (PTLLS or equivalent) qualification
  • Environmental qualification
  • Membership of IOSH at either Graduate or Chartered status would be advantageous.
