SMART Repair Technician – Jaguar Land Rover

44 hours - Mon to Thu: 7.30 - 17.00, Fri: 7.30 - 16.00 & Sat: 1 in 4

Our Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Aberdeen is the busier than ever. Due to the increase in demand and the exciting expansion of our workshop and bodyshop we have an opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced SMART repair technician to join the team. The successful candidate needs to come from a body shop or accident repair background and have experience in modern methods of paint spraying. You must be highly competent in prepping, priming, refinishing whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship.

• Assess vehicles to determine sags and dents and ensure that the customer is aware of them as well
• Assist denting personnel with taking out dents and sags to ensure a smooth surface
• Match required colours with available ones and ensure that they are procured in a timely fashion
• Mix colours to create required hues in the event of unavailability of the ones requested by customers
• Appropriately mix thinners with paints to come up with required consistency
• Ascertain that all tools such as sprayers, brushes and buffers are available prior to the start of a paint job
• Clean surfaces to be painted and apply colour coats using brushes and sprayers
• Ascertain that each coat of paint is completely dried before applying the next one
• Perform buffing and finishing duties at the end of each paint job
• Check finished paint jobs to ensure that it is done according to quality standards

• Franchise experience is highly desirable
• Excellent attention and eye for detail.
• Ability to prioritise and multi-task in a busy environment
• Ability to work on your own initiative and also part of a wider team
