Back Of House Team Member – Kitchen Assistant

Hours of Work

• Hours are generally 10:30 am - 7:30 pm approx. (hours may vary)
• A minimum commitment of 5 days including weekends is required.

Wage

• £10 per hour dependant on experience.
• Possible wage increases if you progress to Team Leader. Team Leader role available.

Main Responsibilities

• Working with a team of cake decorators in conjunction with our front of house team members to maintain the Cake Box standards
• Filling cake sponge with fresh cream and spread so they are ready to decorate
• Learning new decorating skills alongside experienced decorators
• Learning how to write messages on cakes for customer orders
• Decorating cakes and slices for display and filling Display Fridges
• Decorating customer orders
• End of day shift cleaning, including mopping the kitchen floor, cleaning dishes, fridges, walls, floors, and surfaces of the front of house area if required.
• Some customer service will be required. Training will be given.

Cake Box

We are looking for like-minded, enthusiastic, and energetic individuals to join this exciting team. It is a fast-paced environment, but a fun place to work. This is more of a factory-run operation than an artistic cake-making environment. You won't need any experience in cake decorating as you will be trained and supervised from day one. Experience of working in a kitchen environment could be beneficial.

This is a dynamic and fast-growing business. We will be opening in the next two weeks and will be joining the 200 plus stores that are already trading.

Supplemental pay types:

• Performance bonus
• Yearly bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Peterborough, PE1 2HG: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (required)

Experience:

• Kitchen experience: 1 year (preferred)
