Position Overview & Specifications

Phyllis Tuckwell provides supportive and end of life care for people living with a terminal illness. Based in Farnham and Guildford, we serve a population of 550,000 across West Surrey and North East Hampshire.

Assistant Donation Centre Manager

40 hours per week (worked over 5 days, including alternate Saturdays)

Holiday cover may be required on additional days throughout the week.

Salary £22,212 per annum WTE, based on 40 hours a week

Location - Farnborough

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Donation Centre Manager to support our brand new Donation Centre on Invincible Road, Farnborough. As part of the vibrant Donation Centre team, you will support the Donation Centre and Logistics Manager, along with a team of loyal volunteers. You will assist in the day to day operation within the Donation Centre, which includes sorting stock (including furniture), in preparation to go the shops and showroom.

This is an exciting opportunity to build and maintain relationships in the local community.

The successful candidate will:

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with previous customer service experience.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a busy team.
  • Have previous experience of managing a small team.
  • Have previous experience within a warehouse environment would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
  • Have some commercial awareness and a desire to drive business forward within their shop.
  • Have a clean UK driving licence.
  • Have flexibility to work both weekdays and weekends.

This is a physically demanding role involving the sorting, lifting and moving of donated items, there will also be the occasional need to work with the wider logistics team in the moving of heavy furniture.
