Position Overview & Specifications
Junior Laboratory Technician
Reporting to: Technical Manager
Salary: £20,000 to £22,500 subject to experience
Package: Group Pension, Private Healthcare, Life Assurance
Hours of Working 37.5 hours per week
Safe Working
- Ensure the working environment of the Laboratory is maintained and organised demonstrating effective management and providing a professional look for visitors to the Site
- Ensure that these areas are maintained to reduce risk of incidents and accidents
- Provide feedback through reporting Near Miss Reports and direct feedback with the Production Management team on potential Safety Issues
Maintaining Standards
- Ensure all equipment in the Laboratory is maintained to the standards set by the OEM and is calibrated to the required standard and frequency
- Maintaining, reviewing and updating test methods and specifications based on Trend Analysis and Customer Requirements
Training
- Provide training to all Operators, both Days and Shift to undertake the basic Quality Control testing to the required standards as defined by Plater Group specifications and/or Customer Requirements
- Maintain standards by undertaking individual assessments
Customer Complaints
- Working with Site personnel to both understand the causes and fully implement Corrective Actions
- Monitoring, auditing and assessing Label Quality and Accuracy for all products incorporating QC Testing and Labelling prior to Authorisation from the Laboratory
- Feedback on areas to improve and eliminate Customer Complaints
Communications
- Maintain effective communications with your peer group and all members of the site and the company
Team Working and Collaboration
- Demonstrate a clear willingness to work using Plater Group’s values
- Show respect with others in the organisation and collaborate effectively working as a team
Reporting Structure
- Direct reporting to the Technical Manager
- Indirect reporting to the Senior Management Team
- Collaborate with Technical Manager and Laboratory Assistant
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £20,000.00-£22,500.00 per year
