Senior Defect Engineer

Scope:

Work with R&D/Engineering group in defining critical defect inspection step and support / lead defect reduction activities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work with R&D/Engineering group on new product development
• Develop new CIRCL recipe and optimisation of existing recipes to detect defect of interest
• Responsible for analysing new/unknown defects, OOC lots, Defect Pareto, Defect trends
• Update relevant documents and specifications as required and fan out to production/manufacturing
• Defect champion for defect reduction/yield improvement activities
• Establish best practice on Defect inspection procedure and sampling
• Guide junior engineers on Yield/Defect improvement activities

Key Skills/Experience required:

• Degree in Engineering with min 3 years of semiconductor experience
• Prior working knowledge on Defect scanning tool (CIRCL, KLA)
• Prior working knowledge on using Klarity software
• Familiar with Failure Analysis method (FIB, SEM, EDX)
• Able to create Klarity scheduler recipes

Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering with min 3 years of semiconductor experience
