WAREHOUSE MANAGER

BASED: UPS Building, Polar Speed Distribution Limited, Nobel Way “The Hub” Birmingham B6 7EU

SALARY: £35,000 – £40,000 P/A Dependent upon experience

HOURS: Monday to Friday 45 hours per week covering Days/Mid Shifts

The company specialises in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers and medical care surgeries as well as to end patients which it serves through its homecare business. Its customers include some of the best known pharmaceutical brands in the world.

Due to our continued success we are currently inviting applications from experienced Warehouse Managers, to oversee and ensure the smooth running of the warehouse and associated areas, support and continually improve processes and procedures to ensure you and the team deliver the highest level of service to our customers by providing seamless execution of service levels.

This key role and you will be required to manage the Team Leads who, with the support of their respective teams ensure consignments are managed in an accurate and timely manner, keeping the product within the required temperature range.

You will be required to plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, maintain the highest levels of hygiene throughout the warehouse and in line with GDP regulations, monitor and audit temperature compliance of all inbound/outbound consignments.

You will motivate and manage the team and deal with their day to day workflow, training and development, assist with recruitment and on-boarding, you’ll will also be responsible for the products and the safe storage of them, ensuring they remain in temperature at all times.

This is an evolving role situated in our Hub in Birmingham and applicants must be prepared for the role to grow and develop in line with our projected growth which will include storage volume, orders and additional clients.

Effective communication skills are required as you will be required to liaise with Customers, Suppliers and Internal departments

Key responsibilities:

· Manage and Lead Team Leads and their respective teams

· Oversee the running of warehouse and it’s processes and procedures

· Provide Support to Senior Warehouse Manager

· Produce and supply regular reports regarding the activities of the warehouse

· Responsibility to for the H&S, security and equipment within the location

· Recruit, train, lead and motivate team

· Support and monitor KPI’s and ensure they are achieved.

· Lead investigations, incidents and complaints within your department

All additional associated duties as required

Key Skills/Experience/Requirements:

· Proven Leadership/ Management experience ideally gained in a similar environment.

· Good reading skills and numerate

· Computer literate

· Good team player

· Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
