PORT MARINE OPERATIONS APPRENTICE
£314.90 PER WEEK, RISING TO £472.55 IN YEAR 3
3 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT
35 HOURS PER WEEK 9AM- 5PM, MONDAY TO FRIDAY

THE ROLE:
We are seeking to recruit an apprentice to undertake an exciting and comprehensive training program in Port Marine Operations between South Shields Marine School, and the Port of Tyne Marine Services Department. On completion, the post holder will be expected to be competent in positions such as a VTS Operator and/or Launch Coxswain/Deckhand. As part of the program there will also be the opportunity to join a busy vessel for a period of approximately 3 weeks.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 to 9 (or equivalent), including Maths & English
- Local and National geographical knowledge
- Excellent Communication skills
- Leadership potential and the ability to work in a team
- Positive attitude towards Health, Safety & Environment Protection
- Be physically fit
