Position Overview & Specifications
Positive Steps Specialist Care Services Ltd in Peterborough are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and reliable waking night care workers to support our children & young adults within our homes during the hours of 21.30-08.00. Working in a residential home you will be part of a team, who are caring and compassionate in helping the service users who have learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.
We are dedicated in keeping safe during the pandemic, staff are having weekly swab testing to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITES
· Supporting the children & young adults to socialise
· Take part in activities
· Assist with dressing, bathing and mealtimes
· Support with education, health, and home visits
· Encourage independence
· Provide support in accordance with care and placement plans
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
· QCF/NVQ Level 3 (essential) or the ability to complete this after a probationary period
· A full driving licence (desirable but not essential)
· Flexibility with shifts
· Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
