National Accounts Manager - Retail

Reporting to the Commercial Controller, you will manage nominated customer(s), increasing sales and profit while managing costs. Developing relationships at all levels both internal and external is important to the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure budgeted sales and margins are achieved
- Provide a weekly forecast update and adjust short and long-term forecast accordingly
- Maximise sales by securing a full promotional calendar
- Develop longer-term business plans following customers and PPG’s strategic plans
- Work with demand planning and manufacturing to achieve targeted service levels
- Negotiate additional product introductions
- Present customer budgets, as and when budget assessment and new budgets are required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of four years account management experience with high commercial awareness
- Experience of FMCG or consumer durables or DIY experience an advantage
- Excellent Excel skills (can perform complex functions: pivot tables, data analysis)
