Role Description

Job Purpose


To assist Production Management in all aspects of carrying out daily Dry Goods and Production tasks within EOL Ltd to ensure its continued success.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading lorries including manual handling using Forklift Truck, Pallet Truck and roller cages.
  • Working as part of the team to ensure KPI’s are achieved.
  • Maintain plant to the required 5’s standard.
  • Conversant with the cleaning and hygiene requirements of the operation tasks and demonstrates a clean as you go attitude.
  • Involvement in Continuous Improvement Projects.
  • Completing all documentation associated with the operation tasks in a manner as described in the relevant procedure manuals.
  • Keeping to environmental and occupational safety regulation.
  • Undertake continuous training and development, actively helping in achieving company business goals and vision.
  • Responsible for general warehouse and site waste management.
  • Ensure that all team activities meet both internal standards and external regulatory requirements with respect to Health & Safety, finished product quality, food hygiene, Good Manufacturing Practice and environmental impact. To ensure that the Company’s obligations and policies in these areas are fully complied with.
  • Maintain personal hygiene standards in accordance with company standards.
  • Correctly offloading deliveries and dealing with documentation accordingly. Any quality issues or concerns are immediately brought to the attention of the Shift Operations Manager.
  • Ensuring all trailers are loaded in accordance with procedures and loaded and unloaded on time.
  • Ensuring materials are safely offloaded to storage and supplied to production on time.
  • Maintain the correct stock levels for pallets, labels, PPE, preforms and empty boxes and carry out continuous stock checks.
  • Assemble product into allocated loading areas.
  • Responsible for mechanical handling equipment safety checks.
  • Able to work various shifts
  • Always wear correct PPE and report any accidents or hazards.
  • Ensure that raw and packaging materials are controlled in line with production plan.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

The role-holder must demonstrate the following:
  • Co-operation within teams, supporting others both own team and across both internal and external customers.
  • Understanding of production procedures.
  • Responsible for personal development.
  • High level of attention to detail, working accurately and acting quickly when a problem arises.
  • Must plan daily activities to ensure best use of time and resources to meet daily production target.
  • Able to perform job with a limited supervision
  • Computer Skill: Microsoft Office 365, SAP.

  • The job holder must be fully conversant with the relevant legal standards concerning health and safety and other law governing food safety.
  • Adopts a positive and energetic approach, be proactive, flexible and keep good attendance at work
