Position Overview & Specifications
In this role you will be working closely with other team members in maintaining and expanding our enterprise IT systems and supporting our products used internally. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to provide high levels of customer service, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have fun delivering creative solutions to business challenges.
- Manage a variety of systems and platforms in an enterprise environment
- Support corporate email services
- Implement first-customer (Proofpoint product) solutions with continued support and feedback to engineering groups
- Participate in M&A activities to merge organizations, perform data migrations, and integrate processes and technology
- Identify and isolate technical issues and propose mitigation and/or improvement strategies
- Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours
- Facilitate knowledge sharing by collaboration, cross-training, and creating and maintaining detailed documentation and diagrams
- Perform project and maintenance tasks with least business interruption which may mean during non-business hours and over weekends as needed
- Entry level Systems Administration experience for mid to large enterprise systems
- Beginning knowledge of email system configuration, security, and troubleshooting with ability to manage TLS, DMARC, SPF, DKIM, and perform routing investigations.
- Knowledge of Exchange and Exchange Online
- Understanding of email policy, routing, security, and the associated protocols (DNS, SMTP, etc.)
- Experience managing a message archive and conducting confidential e-discovery investigations
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft enterprise cloud technologies such as Office 365, AWS, Azure, SSO
- Basic core IT skills of data protection, backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring/alerting
- Working knowledge on Windows server, Active directory, DNS and DHCP, Networking
- Experience with incident management and the ability to conduct root cause analysis
- Familiarity with virtual infrastructure management, deploying and managing virtual machines
- Organized, able to self-manage with excellent collaboration skills
- Demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and willingness to perform any tasks
Beneficial
- BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar technical related field
- Experience with Sendmail, postfix, email security gateways, and other email eco-system technology a plus
