Class 2 HGV Driver

Role Overview:

In this role, the HGV Driver will report directly to the Despatch Coordinator. Transporting items around the United Kingdom for deliveries of Protektor Group items, whilst also supporting the warehouse team where required.

Duties:

• · Carry out multi drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner.
• · Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law.
• · Drive within Tachograph law and drivers’ hours limits.
• · Operate within the FORS standard.
• · Provide excellent customer service.
• · Confirm with the Warehouse that the load is correct against the deliveries allocated.
• · Supervise loading of the vehicle to ensure that deliveries are loaded safely.
• · Ensure that on arrival the delivery is safe to make and respect the customers property.
• · Confirm the load with the customer and obtain necessary signatures and paperwork.
• · Any errors on delivery consult with the Transport Manager and mark the delivery paperwork accordingly.
• · Handle customer issues on delivery effectively.
• · Look after the vehicle and avoid unnecessary damage.
• · Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab.
• · Comply with company fuel directives.
• · Complete daily inspection sheet.
• · Attend essential training as required.
• · Report any accidents in accordance with the company accident reporting procedure.
• · Provide report in the yard as required.
• · Occasional warehouse/yard duties will be required

Other Duties:

• Any other duties deemed suitable by your line manager and required by the business.

• You attend your place of work in good time to start your working day.
• You fulfil the requirements of your Manager and Team Leaders regarding the duties needed.
• The work that you undertake is of a high standard.
• You must be polite and helpful to any visitors to the Company premises, ensuring that a good impression is given of Protektor Group UK Limited and its staff.

Qualifications/Training:

• Full understanding of Company and Health & Safety policies.
• The ability to work as part of a team to achieve the aims of the Company.
• Full driving license.

You are required to:

• Follow all Health and Safety rules as laid down by Protektor Group UK Limited.
