Early Years SEN Tutor Job Description

Job title: EY SEN Tutor

Salary: £30,000

Working Hours: 37.5

Area: Early Years Special Educational Needs

Reporting to: Programme Manager

Main Purpose of Job: To support the successful delivery of the EY SEN programme including, facilitation, mentoring and assessing of the qualification

Duties:

· Responsible for tutoring EYSENCO learners

· Deliver content of programme via online platform

· Learner mentor sessions

· Assessing and feeding back to learners using the eportfolio system

· Contribute to learner discussion forums on Canvas

· Monitor trainees progress and provide support in completion of evidence and uploading on to Canvas. Ensuring other evidence is completed in a timely manner, setting targets to ensure timely completion

· Undertake programme development activities,including E-learning and E-assessment as required by the programme manager

· Maintain records relevant to individual trainees

· Liaise with Line Manager’s to facilitate reviews and appraisals

· Provide appropriate data and information regarding the programme and trainees as required and contribute to the regular self-evaluation monitoring process

· Produce reports and information as required

· Ensure timely achievement of all trainees on programme and complete all other required documentation

· Some evening and Saturday working will be required on a rota basis

· Ensure own CPD is kept up to date, and attend CPD and Standardisation events, as appropriate. Termly updates must be sent to the Programme Manager

· Participate in all quality assurance and act promptly on all feedback

· You may occasionally be required to undertake other duties and responsibilities without changing the general character of the job.

· You will act in the best interests of the company

Essential Criteria

Hold a relevant qualification and have substantial experience in the subject area

Have up to date industry knowledge

Able to develop strong professional relationships with employers and learners

Have strong IT skills and be willing to work with online systems (Canvas).

Can motivate learners and ensure they complete on time

Have high levels of motivation and the ability to use own initiative

Desirable Criteria

Have experience of working with employers in a training or customer relations role

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000.00 per year
