Our client, Transformers & Rectifiers Ltd is based in Guildford specialist world leader in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of liquid filled and dry type transformer rectifiers. It is an independent British company offering world class engineering solutions to a global customer base for over 60 years!

A vacancy has arisen for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to carry out testing work on transformers and rectifiers up to 70000 kv within the agreed set times and to the highest standard.

Graduate Electrical Engineer, responsibilities:

· Suggesting ways to improve the production/test processes

· Ensuring operation of equipment by reporting repairs

· Keeping the Test Manager informed of the workflow and any potential issues with output

· Assisting Test Manager/team with specific tasks as required

· Ensuring that work continuity for the next day and next week is maximized

· Providing working knowledge of the Test team to the Test Manager to improve production

· Maintaining a tidy, safe, clean and orderly work environment

· Adhering to all Company policies and procedures e.g. (Work Standard Instructions) WSIs & BSI

· Supporting the team environment across other areas if required

Graduate Electrical Engineer, the person:

· Electrical/engineering qualification is preferable

· Experience of working in a Technical environment

· Logical and problem-solving approach

· Excellent verbal and written skills (this role is customer facing at times)

· Outstanding attention to detail

· Physically fit – due to the nature of the business

· Experience in general office administrative duties and PC literate
