Position Overview & Specifications

We use technical and business knowledge to solve our clients’ problems. And because we offer so many different technology services we need people with different experiences to help us deliver them effectively. Digital is the new normal, transforming how we work and live.

At PwC, as we focus on future innovations, we’re investing in the best and most diverse workforce of today and tomorrow. We’re pushing forward with the use of technology within our own business – enabling our people to work more efficiently and collaborate more easily. All this is part of our commitment to put technology at the centre of our strategy as we continue to help our clients navigate the future digital landscape.

As our world continues to evolve, so do we. Having a responsive and bold technology strategy is key to remaining relevant with our clients. But we don’t just invest in the latest technologies, we help to create them with our unique ecosystem of technologists, working together to solve complex business problems in ways that benefit clients and society. It’s work with purpose and it drives us to innovate. We’re at the forefront of change, driving technology and skills and investing in our people and our purpose.

Our Enterprises Business Applications (EBA) is a rapidly growing team offering a range of high value services for organisations going through business and technology change. The team specialises in helping mid-sized, UK based organisations navigate complex and challenging transformation programmes that are principally based on Microsoft and Sage Technology solutions.

Our team excels in de-risking and recovering complex programmes. We play a critical ‘on the ground’ role and help our clients to achieve their desired programme outcomes. Typically this focuses on key areas such as change management, business analysis, testing, data and project management.

Programme

Our graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.

What you'll do

Our team works with clients to take advantage of new opportunities presented by technology. We establish the right controls, processes and structures to ensure our clients and their applications are compliant with their internal policies and the external regulations they must comply with. We ensure that information and data provided to third parties is accurate, complete and can be trusted.

You'll be working to help organisations manage the risks and opportunities associated with their technology. This covers all aspects of technology, including:

  • advising on how to set an IT strategy fit for their business in the digital world

  • analysing large volumes of data in order to inform decision making – this will include the use of data transformation and visualisation technologies

  • reviewing and improving how projects and business transformations are delivered – focusing on the implementation of effective project governance, controls and project organisation to deliver key outcomes at pace

  • advising how to make organisations more effective through improvement of their business processes, supported by the right technology

  • helping clients understand the opportunities from emerging technology, including the use of advanced analytics.

You’ll have opportunities to work across industry sectors and across the UK to provide technology and data led advice to clients. This could be in the creation or implementation of a new technology or providing advice to business leaders on the opportunities that their technology can enable.

What you’ll gain

  • A blend of commercial, technical, financial and data experiences working with iconic clients across industry sectors and countries.

  • Structured technical training in a suite of data analytics/ and visualisation tools (e.g. SQL, Alteryx and Power BI).

  • Technology control training, including the execution of testing, introduction to Cloud and a suite of applications used by our clients.

  • A broad base of skills spanning data analysis, visualisation, and testing.

  • Communication skills and business acumen through interaction with and presentation to a wide range of stakeholders at the client. Opportunity to develop project management and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build collaborative working relationships at all levels.

  • A deep understanding of how technology underpins company strategy and enables business transformation.

You’ll be engaging directly with our clients, solving their business problems and helping them generate value whilst working alongside leading professionals in their fields.

What you’ll need

You'll need to have achieved or be on track for a pass grade or above in an undergraduate degree in any subject. We determine whether you're on course to pass based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study. The subject of your degree is not important; however, you'll need to demonstrate a passion for a career in technology and how organisations use it.
