Role Overview & Responsibilities

Company Overview:

Radiant is redefining how AI infrastructure is built.

We design and operate AI-native cloud platforms engineered for sovereignty, performance, and scale. Our infrastructure powers GPU-native workloads, multi-tenant control planes, and high-performance AI systems designed for the most demanding environments.

We are not building a generic cloud. We are building purpose-built AI infrastructure — from powered land, to compute, to software.

As we scale, we're building this organisation from the ground up. We're looking for people who'd rather build the playbook than inherit one — who are comfortable doing the work themselves as well as directing others, and who can adapt as fast as our strategy does. This is a start-up model: attitude and adaptability matter more to us than years of experience or the size of team you've previously managed.

This is a cross-functional role requiring strong technical, commercial, and delivery capabilities, with exposure to executive stakeholders and major equipment suppliers, GCs and EPCs, outside counsel, and every regional Project Director drawing on group contracts.

What You'll Do

You'll build Radiant's DC development commercial, legal and procurement function from a blank canvas, from sourcing and negotiating major equipment contracts, drafting and negotiating agreements, and running commercial risk directly.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial

  • Personally negotiate framework agreements for major equipment (switchgear, generators, cooling, IT racks) and construction contracts.

  • Build the category strategy and supplier shortlist yourself.

Procurement

  • Running RFI/RFP/RFQ processes across data center development projects

  • Assist in drafting, negotiating and closing EPC, PPA and land contracts directly, with internal legal support.

  • Manage risk across the portfolio personally in the early stages.

Team build

  • Recruit managers as the portfolio justifies it, while continuing to run live negotiations yourself.

What You Bring:

  • Attitude matters more to us here than number of years of experience.

  • Experience negotiating major equipment or construction contracts, ideally in data centres, energy or infrastructure.

  • Legal or commercial contract experience (in-house or private practice) with comfort operating without a large support team.

  • A pragmatic, get-it-done approach to contract risk rather than a purely risk-averse one.

  • Comfort running multiple live negotiations simultaneously.

  • Comfortable procuring DC equipment from a technical perspective.

  • Experience setting up a data centre (DC).

  • Interface management experience.

  • Experience interfacing with FM (Facilities Management) providers.

  • Working knowledge of FIDIC and NEC contract forms, in addition to EPC.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Qualified surveyor or equivalent commercial background.

  • Experience across UK, EMEA and US contracting frameworks.

  • Existing relationships with major MEP or construction suppliers.

Qualities we look for:

  • Set the standard: Every single day, you spot opportunities to constructively shake things up.

  • Inspire the change: There's no blueprint for the future. You'll embrace challenges and change.

  • You're real and you're true to yourself: We cherish and celebrate diversity so you'll feel right at home whoever you are and whoever you're talking to, you treat everyone the same.

  • Get stuck in: You'd rather be building than overseeing. Our strategy will keep evolving, and so will you — attitude and adaptability matter more to us than a fixed playbook or a big team behind you.
