Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and talented General Manager to lead the team and drive the business forward.

Situated on the outskirts of the historic city of Durham, Ramside Hall Hotel offers 127 luxurious bedrooms and suites, as well as our exclusive Treehouses. Be it a wedding, conference, christening, school prom, Christmas party, charity event or any other special occasion, Ramside Hall Hotel is one of the most versatile multi-purpose venues in the North East.

As General Manager you will be fully responsible for the leadership and day-to-day operation of this luxury hotel resort, which has an annual turnover in excess of 20 million.

You will be responsible for leading and managing the various departments within the venue and making any necessary improvement to standards and driving sales. You will lead from the front ensuring the venue is staffed adequately and within budget and that stock levels are controlled efficiently and effectively.

You will also play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients and guests receive the highest level of customer service at all times and that staff receive the necessary training and development to ensure we continue to exceed our guests expectations.

Overall, the goal is to maximise sales and revenue through business development, customer satisfaction, employee engagement and operational efficiencies.

We are looking for someone with previous experience of working as a Hotel General Manager within a large luxury hotel or resort complex, who has real vision and can build on our existing business success, as well as identifying new opportunities.

You will need exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with a wide range of people.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong commercial and hotel operations background, who has a track record of delivering results, in a fast-paced environment.

You will need a hands-on approach to leadership, but most importantly you will have a passion for hospitality, exceeding customers’ expectations and making a real difference to their experience.

This position offers an attractive salary and bonus package, live in accommodation is also available as part of this role.

The position is full time and applicants must have a flexible approach to working hours and be able to work evenings and weekends.
