Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT SQL database software developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases and associated applications. The successful candidate will work closely with our development team to ensure that all database-related activities align with our business objectives and technology roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain SQL databases and associated applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify database requirements and design solutions to meet business needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all database-related activities.
  • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data backup and recovery plans.
  • Design and implement security protocols to protect sensitive data.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends in database technology and identify opportunities to leverage new tools and techniques.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in SQL database development
  • Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database management
  • Experience with database administration, performance tuning, and optimization
  • Familiarity with data modelling and database design principles
  • Experience with database backup and recovery procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle databases
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with cloud-based databases such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with software development using .NET, C#, or Java
