· £12.50/hour weekdays or £13.50/hour week-ends
· 35p/mile for travel
Summary of Job Description:
High-quality domiciliary care agency that supports service users and their families in East Hertfordshire. The company aims to provide the best care for service users at an affordable rate through carers with great attitudes and a desire to make a difference. Most carers will work alone with service users and will be strongly supported and trained. They will receive PPE and uniforms.
Key responsibilities:
Carers will:
- Exhibit a willingness to learn, be receptive to feedback and escalate any concerns or worries
- Travelling to clients homes to carry out personal care, helping clients to wash, get dressed, collect food shopping, administer medication, take to any appointments e.g. dentist, help them with cooking and more.
- Provide exceptional personal care to service users in their homes, according to the care plan established by the Registered Manager or Lead Carers
- Be aware of their duty of care and the need to provide care in a person-centred way
- Occasionally carers will need to accompany service users on trips to shops or other locations
- · Carers must treat service user information confidentially and will need to record tasks accomplished on a care app, accessible via their mobiles
- Participate in training, as required, particularly mandatory training such as basic first aid, manual handling,
- Be conscious of potential safeguarding issues and escalate these to the Registered Manager at the earliest opportunity
