Systems Development Engineer (Ph.D. Graduate)

Location: Central Cambridge, UK – due to the nature of the role this is fully on-site

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum at Ph.D. level + excellent benefits

Requirements for Systems Development Engineer

  • Ph.D. graduate – for this role and team they have found a Physics background is a great fit, although others have joined from other Engineering disciplines
  • Experience in experimental design and analysis
  • Programming experience ideally in C#, Python or MATLAB
  • Strong love of problem-solving
  • Supportive and friendly personality – culture is hugely important

Responsibilities for Systems Development Engineer

  • Develop performance solutions for technology that is used within a wide range of devices
  • Programming in C#, Python and MATLAB
  • Build system and control algorithms
  • Understand customer requirements and support in technology transfer
  • Develop, maintain, and improve testing methods
  • Document and improve product specifications
