Location: Waltham Cross

Salary: £12.10 per hour or £25,168 per annum

Shift: Full-Time 40 hours per week, Monday – Saturday (5 over 6 shift pattern)

Core Hours: 6am – 3pm

We are seeking a Factory Operative to join our production facility in Waltham Cross.

Reporting to the Production Manager/Line Leader, the role will involve working in a high-care, chilled food environment, in the manufacture of products that exceed our customers’ expectations.

As a Factory Operative your duties will include, but not limited to:

• Support the delivery of key performance targets within your area, ensuring attention to detail, accuracy with all tasks and procedures are always followed.
• Receive, inspect, record temperatures and store produce upon delivery.
• Complete and maintain data record sheets accurately.
• Individually responsible for maintaining all legalities, Health & Safety and HACCP control within the department in accordance with Company policy and strict legal guidelines.
• Operate machinery in accordance to training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), to process, bag, box or otherwise package products.
• Raise concerns about product quality to the Line Leader/Production Manager/Quality Controller in a timely fashion.
• Minimising wastage.
• Ensure all final products are checked for all quality and hygiene attributes.
• Assisting in the packing of all food products produced.
• Carrying out a variety of cleaning duties as required, to maintain a clean, tidy, safe and food safe working environment.
• Responsible for personal hygiene and all PPE provided, following handwashing and changing process.
• Contribute to providing an efficient, friendly service at all times to create and maintain a customer focused environment.

We are looking for applicants with the following skills, attributes, and experience:

• Good verbal and written English.
• Successful completion or willing to undertake Level 2 Food Hygiene and Level 2 H&S Awareness certificates.
• Ideally have food production experience.
• Good time keeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines.
• Flexible approach to work.
• Have a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
