We are looking for an Agile Coach to join the Bristol Future Programmes Transformation team to help facilitate and embed this change in approach.

Successful delivery of these programmes will ensure both the UK and Rolls-Royce retains combat capability, ensuring freedom of action for the UK and enabling the company to maintain our market share in the Naval, Defence Aero and combat markets.

What you will be doing:
These roles provide you with a fantastic opportunity to;
  • Responsible for effective deployment and execution of agile management system and high performance culture as Agile Ways of Working (WoW) across multiple integrated project teams
  • Facilitates effective integration and coordination of mission, roadmaps and plans, including preparation and readiness of major planning cycle events
  • Leads continuous improvement of Agile WoW for team including research, translation, development and experimentation of Agile for team context, including coaching of team leader roles e.g. Scrum Master and Product Owners.
  • Coordinates with other programmes and functions ensuring seamless integration of Agile management system with traditional business operations
  • Supporting delivery and development of training and coaching to improve the knowledge of Agile approaches and tools in our teams.
Who we’re looking for:
  • Experience in application of a variety Agile methodologies and frameworks to novel contexts including: Scrum, SAFe, Disciplined Agile, Lean Start-up, etc.
  • Proven track record of delivery in fast paced product development including experience in complex hardware projects
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong personal philosophy for what makes great teams - happy to challenge and be challenged
  • Original and creative problem solver with passion for learning and for supporting the learning of others
  • Qualification to a degree level in a STEM subject would be great, but not essential, if equivalent experience and qualifications can be demonstrated
You should be highly numerate with strong technical and analytical skills, problem-solving ability and capable of systems level thinking, including personal drive, excellent communication and presentation skills, and will need to contribute effectively in a team environment. You will be expected to take the lead in identifying project requirements, specifying and executing packages of work.
To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence Business there may be a requirement for an individual to hold a level of National Security Vetting (NSV). If the requirement is identified Rolls-Royce will support the application for NSV if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
