An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Global Mobility to join our team.

You will be accountable for the design, implementation and delivery of solutions for all cross-border programmes including International Assignments, Extended Business Travellers, Field Service personnel plus internal and external permanent relocations across international borders. There are 4 elements:

Business Advisory Solutions: partner with the Reward and Talent Centres of Excellence to ensure the mobility policies support the talent strategy. Also partner with the business sectors to understand their current & future mobility needs, inquires and craft solution and delivery models to suit including appropriate consultation and engagement with UK Government.
Compliance & Risk Management: Accountable for the design and operational excellence of tax, payroll and immigration compliance solutions for all cross-border mobile populations.
Policy Formation, Bench-marking and Delivery: ensure that all cross-border policies and solutions are market aspiring and deliver in line with the business’ strategic goals.
Relocation Programme Management: ensure the portfolio of vendors and specialists to design and deliver programmes to time and budget that support our desired employee experience.

What you will be doing:
  • Support the Mobility team (UK located) to deliver high-performance integrated mobility solutions that respond to our business and customer needs and create eager advantage to Rolls-Royce.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the business conditions, strategic goals and operating priorities for Rolls-Royce and overlay these with a deep mobility specialism to deliver great results and value for all internal customers.
  • Corporate governance on tax, social security, immigration and payroll obligations for assignees / mobile workers on a global basis.
  • Support extensive outsourced mobility vendor partners and specialists to deliver high assignee and stakeholder satisfaction levels / experiences on a cost aspiring basis.
  • Ongoing review of make/buy GM service delivery strategy to establish maximum outcome from a cost and service delivery perspective together with guidance of key supplier relationships for continued high quality service provision.
  • Support specialist for all Mobility consultation matters with regulatory and Government authorities through an intrinsic partnership with our Government Relations team.
  • Authorising Officer for the RR UK Immigration Sponsorship Licence and satisfy all associated formalities on a timely basis.
  • Director of RR International (Service Company for IA deployments) to supporting operational and fiscal governance of the legal entity.
  • Continuously builds an extensive internal and external network to understand market conditions, industry trends and stakeholder perspectives for benchmarking purposes and to facilitate informed policy review in a fast changing environment.
  • Deliver strategic insights, evaluation and regulatory updates to the business to advance the talent mobility agenda; track and monitor IA programme spend and maintain full compliance and due diligence.
  • Contributing to the Rolls-Royce People Services mentorship agenda.
  • Support on all mobility related M&A acquisition and divestment activity.

Who we are looking for:

  • Degree qualification.
  • Association of Tax Technicians qualified (or similar CIMA, CTA) and/or a chartered member of the Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD).
  • Big 4 expat tax experience or in-house mobility programme support role experience highly preferable.
  • Experience of devising policy and implementing change.
  • Evaluative and data guidance capability, good excel skills, data presentation.
  • Good communication skills and validated track-record of excellent customer service and delivery. and vendor management capabilities.
  • Business Advisory mindset to craft and implement mobility solutions that are customer centric and deliver strategic talent-mobility outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the global team, a wide range of stakeholders, using good communication and influencing skills.
  • Well organised with good project management skill.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
