Position Overview & Specifications
As Receptionist your key responsibilities include:
· Providing a friendly and efficient service to guests at all times ensuring company policy and procedures are complied with at all times
· Being knowledgeable to promote the hotel and its facilities to guests, while dealing with guest queries/complaints promptly, referring to the Duty Manager, where appropriate
· Providing accurate shift handovers ensuring all items requiring attention are detailed in handover diary and the shift checklist is completed to required standard
· Carry out float checks and handle all cash transactions accurately throughout the shift including the issue/use of safety deposit boxes
· Being aware of special promotions operating in the hotel, ensuring they offered to maximize occupancy/revenue
· Ensuring all information is communicated to the relevant department in the interest of providing excellent customer service including being aware of specific daily functions/events, in order to deal with enquiries efficiently and effectively
· To be fully aware of and understand Fire, Bomb, Health and Safety and emergency procedures.
What we are looking for:
· Previous experience in a quality hotel
· Excellent communications skills
· The ability to work well under pressure with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
· Excellent customer service skills
· Experience of using a Front Office Management system, e.g., Rezlynx, EPOS
· Ability to work on a rota basis, including weekend work. Typical shifts are 07:00-15:30 or 15:00-23:30, as the business requires
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Part-time hours: 16-24 per week
Salary: From £10.42 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Aberdeen, AB11 5PY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
