Roxwell Care Group are currently looking for Support Workers and Senior Support Workers for our service based in Gidea Park. We are a company who specialises and provides high quality services for 6 children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. We are looking to recruit Support Workers who have a genuine interest in working with our children and young people.
You must have an understanding of the rights of people with learning difficulties, as well as this we ask that you are an enthusiastic individual who is committed to the child’s protection and development. It is vital that you also have the ability to adapt to challenging circumstances.
As a support worker/senior support worker, you will be responsible for delivering high quality of care, protection and support to the children and young people whilst facilitating their needs in order to promote their independence.
Some of your duties and responsibilities will involve the need to:
- ensure that you have all the relevant information on the children’s backgrounds and present needs by reading all relevant documents and records and discussing them with your manager
- ensure that the children’s primary needs are identified and met when you are on duty, this includes administrating medication prescribed by a child’s GP or consultant and to record all action taken.
- maintain effective communication and liaise with the service users, families and other staff members whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality
- prepare meals, cleaning and laundry duties
Minimum requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care with children and young people
- Experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting
