Position Overview & Specifications

Building a sustainable tomorrow

BAM FM is recruiting a Procurement Officer to join their team in the North, covering a geographic location from Aberdeen to Birmingham.

This is a hybrid role which includes a mix of working remotely from or from a BAM office. There will be a requirement to travel as per the business needs on occasion.

This role reports to the National Procurement Manager.

Your mission
  • Running tender exercises – in FM terms this means sourcing route to market, collaborating with stakeholders, defining specification, creating tender documents
  • Supporting BAM UK&I category management, this will need to include departmental growth within the business
  • Training and support for Operations teams (who currently produce orders) for order quality
  • Constructionline (and Facilitiesline) continued development
  • Vendor onboarding outside Constructionline
  • Financial and compliance checks on supply chain
  • Supply relationship management, and development of same with operations, commercial and estimating teams
  • Category Management of FM focused supply chain management
  • Supporting the business with performance, financial and supply issues
  • Engaging with H&S, Sustainability & Social Value teams
  • Supporting Prompt Payment Group
  • Supporting Project mobilisations
Who are we looking for?
  • Team player – knowledge of BAM culture would be an advantage
  • Ability to manage priorities, and to work on their own initiative
  • Good confident communicator
  • Competent with IT and open to supporting new systems
  • CIPS qualified or studying towards it
  • Willingness to travel for meetings throughout UK
  • Driving licence preferred
