Class Teacher - Abbey Wood Nursery School

Class teacher Full time one year - with the possibility of extending.

Abbey Wood Nursery School is one of four Maintained Nursery Schools (MNS) in RBG and we are at the center of our community, able to keep the child’s early years at the heart of everything we do. We are one of the original open-air nursery schools and children free flow between the inside and outside areas, each is seen as of equal value. We have a number of children who have special educational needs, many of whom are at the early stages of identification.

We have a child centered approach to children’s learning whilst ensuring that we scaffold the learning with experiences and this allow us to have high expectations for the children in our school. We work closely with our parents at all stages of their child’s education (some of our parents attended the school themselves). We take children from the age of two until they move to reception class. The size of the school grows during the year and in the summer term, we can have up to 150 children on roll.

We are also part of a Community interest group; with Nursery Schools, Primary schools and Secondary schools in RGB, and have membership to the PTI hub, which enables access to high quality CPD.

This role is not suitable for an ECT.

Salary dependent on experience
