Position Overview & Specifications

Angard Staffing is the dedicated provider of Customer Service Advisors to Royal Mail’s contact centres across the UK. Due to an increase in the volume of workload; we are seeking additional candidates with a passion for customer service to join the team in Doxford on a temporary basis over the summer period.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for people with a flair for customer service and a passion for delivering service excellence. You will need to be confident on the telephone and able to communicate with customers politely and effectively. Desirable qualities would include:

  • Proven record within a fast-paced customer service environment
  • A passion and commitment for delivering a great customer experience.
  • Enthusiastic and responsive – seeking a positive resolution for all customers.
  • Self-motivated. Able to work as part of a team or alone.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Good planning and flexibility
  • Computer literate and good keyboard skills

What will you be doing?

The role of a Customer Service Adviser is to provide an excellent customer service experience for Royal Mail customers managing customer questions, queries and complaints in a timely manner. Daily duties will include:

  • General enquiries (advice and support)
  • Complaints
  • Data inputting – quickly and accurately
  • Handling all customer interactions with care – delivering a ‘first class’ customer experience at all times.
  • Effectively dealing with telephone, email, white-mail, complaints and general customers enquiriesW

What do you need to know?:

Intake start Dates: 26th June 2023 and 3rd July 2023 *subject to clear DBS check

  • Pay rate: £11.77 per hour
  • Contract: between 9-11 weeks
  • Around 37.5 hours per week, between the hours of 7am – 8pm Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm Saturday, 9am - 4pm Sunday (Although Sundays shifts are very rare you must still be flexible) There will be a mixture of various length of shifts throughout the week but you will be required to work every Saturday.
  • Shifts are given 4 weeks in advance
  • Full training will be provided; for the training period – the first 3 weeks will be Monday – Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm
  • Annual leave is not permitted during the first three weeks of training - minimal annual leave after this may be authorised if it is pre-booked however we cannot guarantee this.
  • Doxford site has free on-site parking
  • There is no canteen on-site however it is close to amenities
