Position Overview & Specifications
SCP, an RSK Company is looking for a Apprentice Civil Engineering Technician to join their team on an Apprenticeship basis. This role will be based in Chelmsford and will be Office based. You will be joining a growing team, who cares greatly about the development, training and diversity of their growing workforce.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting in the training of junior technicians whilst themselves be expected to progress into a senior technician or engineering role with assistance from senior team members
- To provide essential support for more senior personnel to ensure successful delivery of a commission
- To bring together the necessary internal and external resources and skills required to fulfil the obligations of each and every commission to the budget and timescale agreed with the client
- To liaise/meet with other consultants and external members of the project team where necessary to ensure co-ordination of information and resources
- To liaise with the PM to understand the project specification, the timescale, the fee and the terms of engagement
- To liaise with the PM to promptly report any issue arising during the undertaking of the project that has implications either to the brief or the timescale. Such implications are to be reported as variations and budget alterations are to be agreed with the client
Person Specification
- Preferably educated to HNC Level, but not essential
- Working towards becoming professionally qualified at technician level preferable
- Relevant years’ experience at similar level with other consultants in the same or similar field
- Working towards TMICE or similar of a relevant professional organisation
- Ability to manage time and work to strict deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
