Senior CAD Technician

Binnies, an RSK company are recruiting Senior CAD Technicians to join our teams teams based in Central Scotland, Redhill and the South East of England.

Our CAD team are vital in supporting frameworks with Scottish Water, Southern Water and Thames Water AMP programmes. The Senior CAD Technicians will be accountable To support the Design Lead and other team members in delivering detailed design services including production of drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit

We have offices in Redhill, Glasgow, Chester and Birmingham, however we also fully support Hybrid/Remote working so would be keen to hear from those based across the UK

Key responsibilities:

• Work to Binnies project controls guidelines and procedures.
• Support the Design Lead/CAD Manager and other team members in undertaking a wide range of design related tasks including:
• Production of AutoCAD drawings in accordance with the Joint Venture CAD procedures
• Undertake design, and modelling activities, including use of third party software packages where appropriate.
• Comply with the Binnies IMS, CDM regulations and other relevant Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Take responsibility for the supervision of junior technicians to ensure timely design outputs are in accordance with programme and quality requirements.
• Maintain high technical standards, consistent with the project brief and compliance with Binnies HSEA requirements
• Assisting with the production of project documentation, and reports.

Experience required

• Revit
• Civils’ 3D - Desirable
• Water / Wastewater project background

We are also very keen to hear from those who have Civils 3D experience but perhaps have been involved in other sectors such as Highways, Rail, Windfarm, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Power and would be motivated and keen to move into the Water industry.
