Position Overview & Specifications

Fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and passionate individual who is looking for a new challenge within the Facility Management industry. We are now recruiting for the IT Administrator which will be based in our Coventry office.
Samsic UK is a national provider of Facilities Management services, trusted by commercial and institutional clients operating across a range of sectors, including Education, Retail, Industrial, Public Sector, Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals, and more.

Job Responsibilities:
  • 1st/ 2nd line technical support function for office based and remote working employees to ensure that technical issues are resolved (both in person and remotely)
  • Assisting the Head of Information Technology with the BAU activities as well as on projects,
  • Responsible for the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrades and support of the business applications and IT systems (PCs, software apps, telephone, and peripherals)
  • Responsible for identifying innovative software solutions to improve end user effectiveness.
  • Producing documentation for IT system components used in the organisation.
  • Administration of accounts through M365 portal and Active Directory, Asset Management.
  • Responsible for maintenance and streamlining of the inhouse applications (ECAT, Templa, Access Workspace, Employee Portal)
  • Provide training (where applicable) for the end users (i.e. induction/ onboarding and re-freshers) on applications and systems used by Samsic,
  • Responsible for the resolving and escalating issues logged by the end users,
  • Diagnosing & troubleshooting software and hardware issues (PCs, network mobiles devices)
  • Responsible for analysing the data (reports, databases and portals), highlighting areas of non-compliance within contracted or business required SLAs.
  • Create and distribute monthly IT reports for the wider business as and when required.
  • General Administration duties associated with the role.
  • To complete any ad hoc requests required by the business & the Head of Information Technology
Essential experience:
  • IT related Degree or relevant certification or documented experience
  • Working knowledge of or exposure to: SQL, Microsoft 365, End Point Anti-Virus, MS Exchange, Active Directory, General Data security principles, Firewalls, Networking & Infrastructure
  • Windows Server (2012 R2 and above) knowledge and exposure/ experience working with ERP and Contract Management Systems (preferably Templa CMS)
  • Knowledge of Templa CMS, Access Workspace, ECAT
  • Previous experience in providing IT support for SMEs (for both applications and hardware)
  • Technically proficient, solid hands-on IT support
  • Understanding of principles of Information Security
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Previous exposure to the use of ITSM tools
  • Customer service experience
  • Familiar with the ITIL Framework (ITIL Foundation level certification will be advantageous)
  • Excellent Communications and organisational skills
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Open and honest style with a pro-active, practical & innovative approach
  • A very keen eye for detail and ability to maintain good, accurate records
  • Ability to prove the above by including the phrase ‘strawberry milkshake’ in the cover letter
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem solving
  • Determined and resilient, with a good sense of ownership
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work individually but also part of a team
  • Active interest in IT and technology
