Position Overview & Specifications

Sanctuary Personnel, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency with a TrustPilot score of 4.9/5 and over 400+ reviews is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Staff Nurse to work in Cranbrook, Kent on a full-time basis.

The salary for this permanent Senior Staff Nurse job is £33,602 - £38,239 per annum.

Main Duties:

  • Managing a delegated patient caseload under the supervision of the CNS and Consultant.
  • To assist in the delivery of the nursing service for patients seeking cosmetic, plastic or breast surgery – may include other aesthetic procedures or services.
  • To provide enhanced nursing knowledge, advice and support to patients, their families and other healthcare professionals from consultation through to final discharge.
  • To be knowledgeable and clinically competent in providing high standards of evidence-based care, pre & post-operative care and management, and in being an effective advisor and educator to patients, their families/carers, nurses and junior clinical staff
  • Provide advice and support relating to wound care & tissue viability, including providing outpatient wound care clinics,to patients and tothe clinical areas, liaising with external experts andorganisations as required.
  • To work with theCNS andMDTin thedevelopment, implementationand evaluation of integrated care pathways and systems of MDT documentationfor the service(s).
  • Deliver and provide support to both clinics and ward activity as may be required, covering activity as requested.
  • May be required to handle incidents, complaints or conduct audit as required by the CNS, Consultant or service

Requirements of the Senior Staff Nurse:

  • First Level Registered Nurse with supporting evidence of CPD and Revalidation.
  • Healthcare degree or equivalent.
  • Enhanced knowledge and experience of working within surgical nursing environment.
  • Evidence of enhanced knowledge of wound care/tissue viability – or willingness to undertake training.
  • Preoperative Assessment experience – or willingness to undertake training.
  • Phlebotomy/ECG skills.
  • ILS training.
  • Mentorship qualification.
  • Proven ability to undertake multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational planning and problem-solving skills, with a can-do attitude.
