Warehouse Operative

We are an established joinery company based in Batley.

We require a warehouse operative/driver to work within our goods in/out area.

Within our workshop we produce bespoke joinery. This has to be wrapped and protected to a high standard and collated together clearly marked for its required destination.

Quality control to ensure the client receives good quality work.

Salary is negotiable and dependant on the skill sets and experience.

The purpose of this role as a Warehouse Operative is to maintain the “Goods In” and “Goods Out” process. Including dealing with all goods and products that come into the warehouse, receiving and storing goods correctly.

Responsibilities:
Loading and unloading of goods and supplies.
Check for damage or missing items and reporting shortfalls/damages to the buying department.
Store goods appropriately.
Move stock around either by hand, or forklift truck.
Ensure all goods are shipped damaged free to the correct destination.
Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency. A clean driving is required as part of role, collecting goods and delivering to site. Be adaptable as maybe required to help in other departments.

Skills Required:
Communications skills.
Experience work in a fast-paced Warehouse environment.
The ability to work to tight deadlines, under pressure and with a sense of urgency.
Excellent organisation and prioritising skills.
Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
Team player.
Good time-management skills.
A valid Forklift Operation Licence. You will need to hold a full clean UK Driving License.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Rate of Pay- £11-£13 per hour negotiable on experience and probationary period.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 8.00-4.30pm with a 3.30pm finish on a Friday.
• Flexibility to work extra if needed.
• Saturday working is also available in busy periods.
