Due to our continued growth and evolution, we are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Product Manager, to support with the technical development and ongoing management of a range of heat network products. A communal or district heating network, is a system that takes heat from a central source and delivers it multiple domestic or non-domestic buildings. Heat networks are fuel agnostic and can make use of waste heat sources, so can provide low cost, low carbon heat.

Responsibilities:

- Assisting with the technical development of heat network products. This includes establishing customer requirements, investigating, identifying and testing the most appropriate product solutions available and effectively communicating and promoting the solutions to the customer and / or wider market.

- Having direct involvement with projects; reviewing project specifications, drawings and schedules and responding to project tenders, producing quotations and technical documentation in an accurate and timely manner.

- Working with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of product features and improvements.

- Assisting with product launches, including pricing, developing product positioning and messaging. Collaborating with the Sales and Marketing teams to create product marketing material.

- Providing internal training on product features and benefits.

- Staying up-to-date with industry developments and trends for input to the product management team.

- Continually developing your knowledge and understanding of low carbon technologies and their application through on the job training, your involvement in a wide range of projects and via providing technical support to internal and external stakeholders across multiple low carbon technology solutions.

Skills and Experience:

- Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

- A technical aptitude, with an interest in low carbon technologies.

- Some knowledge of heat networks would be advantageous, although full product training will be provided.

- Excellent customer service skills are essential.

- Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

- An eye for detail is essential.

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

- Excellent communication and team working skills.

- Self-starter, with the ability to work autonomously and use initiative.

- Commercial awareness.

- Good MS Office skills and experience of inputting and updating information in a CRM database is required.

Education and Qualifications:

- Educated to degree level, preferably in mechanical engineering, building services, sustainability, or a similar discipline.
