Position Overview & Specifications
Hej.
We are a friendly Scandinavian Café & Shop that strives to provide a genuine experience food from Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. Since we opened in 2007, we’ve grown to be a very busy Café & Shop in Central London - as well as supplying Nordic foods online across the UK. We are passionate about where we come from and what we do – as well as the foods we eat.
We are currently looking for a full time person to join our lovely team. You will be working in our Café & Shop close to Oxford Circus in London. We’re looking for a nice, keen and enthusiastic individual who has excellent interpersonal skills and who’s a team player. In this role, you’ll be working both the coffee machine and you will be serving food in the café - and some days, you will be helping customers in our grocery store. It’s a nice, varied role with scope to learn and progress.
Skills and experience:
- We'd love it if you already have basic barista skills
- Experience in hospitality sector would be great, too.
- You're a hard worker with a can-do attitude and an eagerness to learn.
- Great customer service skills and full of positivity.
- Work in an organised and tidy manner.
- Have a strong logical approach and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- A real team player who cares about doing things for the greater good of the team.
- A Nordic language is helpful (but not essential - the right attitude is much more important)
- A love of ABBA and Eurovision and general cheesy tunes optional.
What's on Offer:
Starting rate is £11.50/hour (£24,000 PA), rising with experience (next level: Supervisor £12.25h)
Food provided when you’re on shift (and 50% off café food when you are not working, 20% in the grocery shop). Training provided. This role is full time.
