Online Distance Learning Tutor Vacancies
The Heart of Yorkshire Education Group are committed to providing accessible and high-quality training to learners nationwide. We are looking for competent, flexible and experienced distance learning tutors in Childcare, Counselling, Business and Health & Social Care.
Previous experience in Health and Wellbeing distance learning courses such as 'Counselling Skills', Suicide and self Harm', 'Distressed Behaviour in Children', 'Understanding Autism' or 'Children and Young People's Mental Health' is essential.
NB: This role is classed as self-employed. You will be paid on average from £100 to £130 per learner per course (depending on course).
Remote
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· You will support and provide feedback to our learners using an online system in line with college procedures
· You will be required to create individual learning plans, liaise with teams in the office on a monthly basis on the progress of your learners
· Complete progress reviews.
· Contact learners to ensure timely completion.
· As part of the awarding body and audit requirements, a sample of your work will be assessed by our team of internal moderators
· If any actions are identified by our internal moderators, you will be required to action and resolve these within a period of 10 days
· Undertake any training relevant to the efficient execution of any of the above duties, and to take responsibility for your own professional development
· To undertake necessary Health & Safety/Safeguarding/PREVENT and British Values responsibilities and duties as required by this post
· To attend standardisation meetings, (including a full team annual meeting)
· If selected, take part in requested External Moderation activities
Qualifications Required:
In line with the Awarding Body Guidelines, all applicants are expected to hold:
· A sector qualification at least one level higher than the level of the course you would like to mark or equivalent.
· Recent sector experience and CPD.
· Assessing Award (A1/A2/D32/D33/TAQA or equivalent qualification)
NB: It is a requirement of the role that you can evidence up-to-date occupational competency within this field. A copy will be requested twice a year.
