Position Overview & Specifications

The Stock Assistant at Sephora plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store's inventory management and stock replenishment processes. They are responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, organizing stockrooms, and ensuring that products are readily available on the sales floor. The Stock Assistant works closely with the management team and other store associates to meet customer demands and maintain an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock Management: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of merchandise. Unpack, label, and tag products accurately and efficiently. Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, including stockrooms and shelves. Perform regular stock counts and assist with inventory audits. Monitor stock levels and identify items that need to be reordered.

Stock Replenishment:Work closely with the management team to prioritize stock replenishment tasks. Ensure that stockrooms are adequately stocked to meet customer demands. Restock products on the sales floor promptly and maintain appealing product displays. Monitor product expiry dates and rotate stock as necessary. Assist in the implementation of merchandising plans and promotional displays.

Documentation and Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using designated systems. Generate and process purchase orders and return merchandise authorizations. Assist in handling product recalls and returns in compliance with company policies. Provide support during inventory audits and assist in resolving discrepancies. Collaborate with the management team to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Teamwork and Communication:Collaborate with store associates to understand their stock needs and priorities. Communicate effectively with the management team regarding stock-related issues. Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure smooth operations. Assist in training new stock associates on inventory management procedures. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.

Skills:

· Prior experience in stock management, inventory control, or related roles is preferred.

· Knowledge of beauty and cosmetic products is advantageous.

· Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

· Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks.

· Proficient computer skills and experience with inventory management systems.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £7.77-£12.02 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • East London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
