Social Care Officer - Full Time

Seven Resourcing is working with Sandwell MBC to recruit a full-time social care officer for their adults services.

£14.71 per hour.
Initial 3 months.
Full-Time 37 hours per week.

Job Purpose:
We require a part time agency social care officer who is experienced with working with customers in the community, has good social/social work skills, and attributes to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people in Sandwell.

Duties:
You will need to be motivated and flexible with high professional standards and knowledge and awareness of current legislation including the Care Act 2014, Continuing Health Care, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Community DOLS/LPS.
You will be expected to work with vulnerable adults with mental health issues, Learning Disability, physical disability, complex needs, older people and their carer’s.
You will need to be confident carrying out outcome focused assessments, with support planning, to meet their care and support needs.
You must be able to work with a diverse group of individuals and with our partner agencies to deliver the best outcomes for our customers.
You will be given an induction, appropriate training opportunities and regular supervision with an experienced manager. You will be working in a friendly environment, skilled, diverse and supportive team.

Applicant Requirements:

• Qualifications: GSCE English and Maths or equivalent

qualification.

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience of working

with vulnerable adults and carers in a social
care environment.
Experience of partnership working. Evidence of, or willingness to, undertake further training.
Completion of safeguarding adults training.

• Compliance: Up to date Passport and DBS.
• Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
