Position Overview & Specifications
This post is 37.5 hours per week permanent which will be on a rotational pattern over the 7days. You must be available to cover a variety of shifts; shift times during the week are 08:00-16:00 and 12:00-20:00. Weekends are 08:00 to 20:00.

The role is primarily electronic system and telephony based so includes working from a computer whilst providing a high level of customer service; experience of using Microsoft office, especially Excel, and good communication skills are essential. You will also have daily face to face interaction with colleagues of all levels so a welcoming persona and a can do attitude is a must.
The individuals we are looking for needs to be hardworking, dynamic and driven, have an eye for detail and the ability to multi task with evident experience in using electronic systems effectively. Adaptability and the ability to use one's own initiative is a must in this role; you will be a confident individual who can work well under pressure.
The Temporary staffing office is open 7 days a week and the hours are as follows:
Monday- Friday 08:00-20:00
Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays 08:00-20:00
The office is closed on Christmas Day.

Ensure the processing of the temporary staffing booking system is efficiently and accurately undertaken to provide a cost-effective, customer orientated service to the wards and departments.
This would involve:
Act as the division liaison in all aspects of temporary staffing, identifying any vacancies or opportunities to provide cover and support, chasing for progress as necessary.
Be in regular contact with trust bank staff, encouraging continual work throughout the trust with the aim of reducing external staffing costs.
Exchange information with and communicate complex administrative information effectively to ward staff, managers, outside agencies and organisations.
Provides training to temporary staff and ward staff, hospital managers and other Trust staff.
Complete weekly reporting in line with Trust requirements, making adjustments and developing the reports to produce accurate and informative data.
Assist in resolving day to day enquiries in relation to temporary staffing from temporary staffing staff and other trust employees which may require problem solving and initiative to effectively deal with the query.
Maintain relationships with external agencies, building rapport and recording their performance throughout, as well as requesting access to hospital systems for agency staff.
When dealing with telephone enquiries from wards, departments, temporary staffing staff, outside agencies and any other Trust employees, there is an expectation that the post holder will use their initiative in dealing with such enquiries.
Monitor short notice requests from wards and departments to ensure correct procedure has been followed and authorisation has been obtained.
