Would you like to work in a sector that let’s face it isn’t going anywhere? The Marine sector is thriving and now HMNB in Portsmouth is looking for Welders to join the base to work on Prestigious Naval Ships.

This environment won’t phase you as you will have some Ship experience, perhaps in another dockyard around the UK?

This will be to support a very busy period in the Portsmouth Dockyard. Due to the level of Security Clearance needed, you must hold or be willing to undergo an MoD security clearance to support your application. Information required will be 5 years of home addresses and 3 years of employment history. You must also hold valid ID ideally with your current address on.

Please note: In order to qualify for these rates you must be able to prove you live 39+ miles away from Portsmouth Naval Base. This will need to be proved with a utility bill dated within the last 3 months OR current years council tax bill.

This is a great opportunity to obtain SC Clearance if you do not already hold it, this clearance opens so many doors in the MOD sector.

This is an opportunity for on-going work in a very busy HMNB Dockyard.

Requirements:

-NVQ Level 3 or equivalent essential
- Marine experience is essential upon naval ships
- Codings from previous employers advantageous
- Must be willing to obtain a DBS
- Must be willing to undergo a drugs and alcohol test

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Salary: £32.55-£40.42 per hour
