Position Overview & Specifications

Smart Ecogen LTD is looking for a Solar PV Installation Manager to join our small but rapidly expanding team, you will be office based in Saltaire but will be expected to carry out site visits throughout Yorkshire.

The Installation Manager will provide a pivotal role in the growth and success of the business by nurturing customer relationships and also by supporting the Solar Engineers in the field. The Installation Manager will oversee the Solar Engineers and will be the first point of call for any install related issues. Alongside support in the field the Installation Manager will work closely with the office team to ensure completion of all relevant paperwork and handover packs and supporting the salesforce.

All installations must meet the RECC and MCS standards from start to finish and therefore experience working to these standards would be desirable.

Experience with EV car chargers, battery storage and heat pumps is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Managing numerous projects simultaneously whilst remaining in budget and within the specified time frame
  • Prepare and monitor risk assessments and method statements
  • Attending project and technical meetings face to face and via zoom
  • Maintain close relationships and strong communication with clients, engineers, builders, architects and customers
  • Completing pre-installation surveys and keeping records of survey results
  • Regular site visits to ensure installation meet the required standards
  • Procurement of plant and materials and ensure safe delivery prior to installation
  • Training and development of new and existing staff members
  • Complete solar designs and provide customer quotations
  • Scheduling jobs and managing the diary
  • Keeping MCS Quality Management System up to date

Skills and Experience

  • The ability to prioritise a heavy workload
  • The understanding of all aspects of the contracting process as well as technical building requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Experience of renewable energy systems is essential
  • Ability to create layouts and outline designs of complete PV systems, at commercial/ industrial scale including Energy Yield Assessment and connection interfaces.
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification (prefered)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Solar PV Installation (prefered)
  • Full UK driving licence

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
