Biomedical Scientist (x3 Vacancies)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist to join our cellular pathology team.

You will have HCPC registration and experience in cellular pathology.

You will undertake training in the cellular pathology department and will become competent in all permissible parts of the role as expected of BMS including:

• Histopathological processes
• Specimen dissection
• Special stains
• Immunohistochemistry
• Service development
• Validation and Verification
• Troubleshooting
• Digital Pathology
• Line management/mentoring of trainee BMS staff
• EQA and IQA schemes
• Training and development

You will be set a training plan and objectives will be set that are aligned to the business objectives.

In addition to technical skills, you will also be jointly responsible with current postholders for coordinating and planning departmental training, and achievements against our quality objectives.

You must be self-motivated, focussed, realistic, willing to learn, a team player, good communicator, and show excellent standards of behaviour and exhibit leadership qualities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to expand technical knowledge and gain experience in service delivery.

You will have HCPC registration and experience in cellular pathology.

Salary range of £38-£45K pa inclusive of high cost area allowance, dependent upon experience.

Recruitment bonus on successful completion of probation.
